National holiday road toll down by one
The national holiday road toll has been revised down to 34 after a man's death in South Australia on New Year's Eve was found to have been caused by a medical issue.
The man crashed into a tree on the South-Eastern Freeway in Monarto South, east of Adelaide, and died a short time later, police said.
Twenty-eight people died on Australian roads over the Christmas-New Year period in 2014/15 and 2013/14.
