Former groundskeeper Nathan Lyon to dig deep on final day of Test

Nathan Lyon proved today he's Test class, bamboozling India by taking five wickets and putting Australia in a winning position.

Lyon prompted the downfall of the tourists for 444 before lunch.

Australia have used 13 spinners since Shane Warne retired seven years ago, searching for a game breaker. The answer hasn't come.

Lyon has been the most consistent - 33 Tests for 112 wickets at 32.99.

But this year he has struggled and in the recent two-Test series against Pakistan took just three wickets at 130 while the opposition spinners ran riot.

His place in the team was on the line.

But by tomorrow, he might be more secure, as the former groundskeeper digs deep where he used to mow the grass.
