Armed men steal delivery driver's car after assault

Two men remain on the run after assaulting a delivery driver in Sydney’s south overnight and stealing his car.

Police were called to a Chinese restaurant on Fisher Lane in Narwee around 9.55pm last night following reports a 22-year-old man had been confronted by the pair, who were armed with a firearm.

Authorities confirmed the delivery driver was then assaulted and his car, a white 2007 Toyota Rav4, was stolen by the two attackers.

Despite a police search of the area, the two men were unable to be found.

The 22-year-old was taken to St George Hospital for treatment to head wounds he suffered in the attack.

Police are now investigating the incident and searching for the men, who have been described as Mediterranean or Middle Eastern in appearance.

They have also appealed for public assistance in locating the stolen vehicle, which has the NSW registration DDH94M.
