A man who failed an initial drug test after he was caught driving naked on a disqualified licence is among many examples of inappropriate driving behaviour this Easter weekend, NSW police have said.

Canobolas Highway patrol officers noticed the 30-year-old's vehicle was travelling slowly yesterday afternoon, and observed him driving naked with a sex toy nearby, the NSW Police Force said in a statement.

Further inquiries revealed he was a disqualified driver, and he also failed a mobile drug test, police said.

A secondary sample has been taken and is being analysed.

Other examples of poor driving behaviour highlighted by police include six people found not wearing seatbelts in one car at Glenwood about 1.30am today. The driver and passengers were issued penalty notices.

Yesterday afternoon, police stopped a vehicle at Dubbo for a random breath test and found two unrestrained children in the back seat and a three-year-old travelling in a rear footwell of the vehicle. The driver also held an expired driver's licence, and was issued penalty notices.

Police have urged people to drive safely.
