Ahead of his execution Myuran Sukumaran produced two final paintings – one of an Indonesian flag dripping in blood and the other of a bleeding human heart.
The haunting works were collected from the prison island of Nusakambangan before Sukumaran and fellow Bali Nine member Andrew Chan were executed this morning alongside six other prisoners.

Sukumaran, who completed a fine arts degree while in Kerobokan prison under the tutelage of Australian artist Ben Quilty, was prolific in his final days on death row.
