Over $63 million unclaimed in lotto prize money in Australia

There is a total of $63 million in unclaimed division one lotto prizes across Australia.

Queensland has more than $6.5 million in unclaimed prizes with five unclaimed division one winners.

The newsagencies where they were purchased include News Extra DFO Cairns ($2 million) , Nextra Morayfield Village ($1 million), Cotton Tree News Maroochydore ($1 million), Lutwyche News & Gifts ($1.3 million), and Nextra Capalaba Park News ($1.3 million).

“Queenslanders seem to be the shiest in claiming their lottery windfalls,” The Lott spokesman Matthew Hart said.

“We have five of the eight unclaimed prizes across Australia. The biggest of these unclaimed prizes is a Cairns entry from 2014 worth $2 million.”

A winner has not yet claimed their $400,000 lotto prize in New South Wales after buying an entry from the Henry Deane Plaza Newsagency in the Sydney CBD.

Victoria has the most in unclaimed prizes with a whopping total of $55 million from Powerball.

The lottery entry was purchased from Scole Lotto & News in Brunswick and is the largest unclaimed lottery jackpot in Australia's history. 

“It has been the talk this year about who is this mystery ticket holder and where are they?” Mr Hart said.

In the Northern Territory in Katherine, a $2 million win has not been claimed from earlier this month.
