Mulvihill sent bullet in card to ex-wife: court

The ex-wife of the man who murdered his mistress Rachelle Yeo has told a court hearing that he had left a "goodbye and good luck" card with a bullet in it at her home.
Celine Carroll told a sentencing hearing that killer Paul Darren Mulvihill arrived at her Brisbane house a few years after their divorce and waved a rifle around, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
The NSW Supreme Court heard that one of her male friends threw her a set of car keys and she fled to her parents' house.
On another occasion after their 1991 divorce, Mulvihill was waiting for Ms Carroll in her bedroom when she arrived home, and yelled out to her "I'm going to kill you".
Mulvihill, a successful businessman and former club rugby star in Brisbane in the 1980s, murdered Ms Yeo at her unit on Sydney's northern beaches in 2012.
The court heard that Mulvihill maintains his innocence, and his counsel said that he had "never been a violent person".
