Passengers injured after flight hit severe turbulence during Sydney Airport landing

Seven people were injured after a plane encountered severe turbulence while landing at Sydney Airport this afternoon.
The China Eastern Airlines plane travelling from Kunming, China, to Sydney was landing when it hit turbulence around 2pm AEDT.

The seven passengers suffered various injuries including neck pain, a cut to the jaw and a minor head injury.
Two passengers were transported to Prince of Wales Hospital, while two were taken to St George Hospital and three others were taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
All of the patients are in a stable condition.
