Mother's sinister discovery at Perth playground prompts warning
A mother has been left shocked after she made a sinister discovery at a playground in Perth's southern suburbs.
Aimee Brown took her children to a playground in Secret Harbour on Sunday afternoon only to spot a barely-visible piece of fishing line tied between climbing ropes.
"If a child had found it or run through it, the injury, it could have been fatal, it's right where the neck would go," Brown told 9News Perth.

The line was pulled tightly and the mother-of-three was forced to break it with her own body to stop the worst from happening.
Her eight-year-old daughter was frightened and burst into tears.
"I thought someone put it up to hurt kids and I didn't like it," Olympia said.

She said the fishing wire was wound tightly around the equipment. 9News
Brown took to social media to share the experience, which prompted others to share their own.
One claimed she discovered this pair of scissors in a sandpit at the bottom of a slide.
Police have been notified of the incident as well as Rockingham Council, who told 9News they undertake regular inspections of city-owned playgrounds.
"Have that safety talk with your children, tell them to have a look at their surroundings, make sure it's safe to play and you do so yourself," Brown said.
