Brisbane mother wakes to find snake in her bed

A Brisbane mother has been forced to call a snake catcher after waking to find a python beside her in bed.

The reptile entered through an open window, before slithering under the covers during the night.

After waking to find the unwanted occupant, the woman called Brisbane & Gold Coast Snake Catchers for help.

The expert woke up the python and removed it from its slumber, before relocating it in a safe location.

Carpet pythons are non-venomous snakes that are found everywhere in Australia except Tasmania.

They can grow to up to four metres in length and often seek shelter in tree branches or in roofs.
