Morrison puts public service on notice

The federal public service has been put on notice ahead of next week's federal budget.
Treasurer Scott Morrison has warned governments need to live within their means, just like business and households.
"Government should not be given a leave pass from having to drive the sort of innovation in its own operations to deliver the same sorts of things that businesses and employees around the country are being asked to do," he told reporters in Canberra on Tuesday.
