More woes for government with jobless rate to hit 12-year high

The Abbott government is bracing for more disappointing economic data with unemployment set to reach another 12-month high.
Labour force numbers, due out on Thursday, are expected to show the jobless rate ticked up to 6.3 percent in November.

It will put a further dampener on Treasurer Joe Hockey's mid-year budget review due for release next week.
Revenues have already been damaged by declining commodity prices, notably iron ore, while income tax revenues could be less than forecast with the unemployment rate looking like breaching a forecast high of 6.25 percent by mid-2015.
