Labour force numbers, due out on Thursday, are expected to show the jobless rate ticked up to 6.3 percent in November.

It will put a further dampener on Treasurer Joe Hockey's mid-year budget review due for release next week.

Revenues have already been damaged by declining commodity prices, notably iron ore, while income tax revenues could be less than forecast with the unemployment rate looking like breaching a forecast high of 6.25 percent by mid-2015.
