Molotov cocktails have been found in a car in Adelaide's CBD, with the driver planning a targeted attack on persons known to him.
A taxi driver waved down police about 2am in Morphett Street and reported an altercation with another man after a collision.
He gave police the registration number of the other vehicle.
Police found it nearby and allege they found Molotov cocktails inside.
They secured the area and the explosives team was called to examine the car.
Police believe the man was planning a targeted attack and there is no risk to the public.
The man was arrested and charged with possession of items for acts to endanger life, assault and resisting arrest.
He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
