Girls missing in Sydney found safe and well

Two girls reported missing in Sydney have been found safe and well. 

A Lakemba girl, 12, and a Burwood girl, 13, were last seen at Redfern train station about 3.15pm yesterday. 

The girls failed to return to their homes yesterday evening and police said there were serious concerns for their welfare. 

The girls were found safe in Burwood today. 

Police thanked the public and the media for their assistance.
