Teenage girl missing in western Sydney

A 14-year-old girl is missing in western Sydney, with fears for her safety.

Police have appealed for public assistance after Lalor Park girl Mia Mcleod-Parry was last seen on Boys Avenue, Blacktown, on Tuesday afternoon, and was last spoken to about 12.20pm yesterday.

When Mia failed to return to her home and could not be contacted, police were told and a search began.

Police hold concerns for Mia's welfare due to her age.

Mia is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 140cm to 150cm tall, of thin build, with brown hair and brown eyes. She is likely to be wearing black clothing.

She is known to frequent the Blacktown and Shalvey areas.
