Fatal accident in Sydney’s south-west

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s southwest this morning.

About 2.30am, emergency services were called following reports of a crash on the M5 Motorway near the Henry Lawson Drive off-ramp in Milperra.

Initial reports indicate the vehicle was travelling east on the M5 when it left the road and travelled up an embankment, hitting a tree.

A man aged in his 30s died at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Traffic is heavy in the area after earlier eastbound closures between Heathcote Road and Henry Lawson Drive.
