Man extradited to Western Australia from NSW over decades-old abduction and rape case
Police have made a breakthrough in a decades-old Perth rape case, extraditing a man from NSW to face charges.
Michael James Boxsell, 54, is accused of abducting two teenage girls from Beckenham Train Station on the evening of March 10, 1990 and sexually assaulting them in nearby bushland.
Police say the attacker was wearing a balaclava, armed with a gun and making death threats.

Boxsell was living in the country NSW town of Cootamundra when police arrested him, nearly 30 years after the terrifying attack.
It's not clear what led to the breakthrough.
Boxsell has been charged with two counts each of sexual penetration without consent, deprivation of liberty, aggravated indecent assault and going armed in public.
He didn't apply for bail and will face court again next week.
