Michael Daley: Why the people of NSW should vote for me
People are sick and tired of not being listened to by Premier Berejiklian’s government that operates like a corporation and is only interested in looking after the big end of town.
My message to people as they head to voting booths tomorrow is: I know you want a government that puts people first.
If I become Premier, I will put people first by focusing on education, health, environment, transport, cost of living and jobs particularly in the bush.

Labor’s pledge to put schools and hospitals before stadiums is not a campaign slogan, it’s a promise.
Labor will not splurge $2.2 billion on Sydney stadiums, but will fund our schools, TAFE and hospitals and provide policies that for once in eight years put people first.
People tell me that they’re sick of overcrowded schools with demountables; hospitals with record hospital waiting lists, soaring electricity bills, increased cost of living pressures and ever increasing tolls.
The people of NSW aren’t asking for much, just practical and achievable plans.

Labor has those practical plans.
Labor will hire 5500 more nurses and 5000 teachers, replace 1000 demountables, bring back the M4 Cashback and re-regulate the electricity market to bring down power prices.
The current government says they’re good economic managers but they have wasted over $14 billion on cost overruns for projects like the Sydney light rail and WestConnex. They sold off $70 billion of taxpayers assets and privatised half our electricity network, promising that power prices would go down but instead bills have soared.
The people of NSW know they just don’t count under this government.
Under a government I lead, the people of NSW will once again count.
