Loved ones gather at Melbourne shopping centre to honour teen stabbing victim
Friends and schoolmates of Oscar Hamilton, the boy stabbed to death at a shopping centre in Melbourne's outer west have gathered at the scene today for a vigil in his memory.
About 30 of the 16-year-old's friends and family laid flowers at Woodgrove Shopping Centre in Melton today to pay their respects.
Oscar's girlfriend, Briannan, shared stories as she spoke about how the teen's death left a gaping hole in her heart.

She was with the 16-year-old when he was allegedly stabbed multiple times at an outdoor area on Tuesday.
"The only thing he said was right after he got stabbed, he said, 'Call an ambulance' and that when it's all just hit," she said yesterday.
"Oscar died before compressions even started."
9News understands Oscar's mum had just dropped him off and he was supposed to be meeting up with other friends when a 15-year-old boy allegedly stabbed him to death.
The boy, who police believe knew Oscar, has been charged with murder.

Security has been bolstered at the shopping centre with support workers helping Oscar's family and friends cope with the shock and grief.
Tomorrow afternoon, Oscar's loved ones will march from the shopping centre to the Melton police station in a stand against youth crime.
