Pearce woman will not pursue police action

The "woman in the yellow dress" at the centre of the scandal surrounding NRL player Mitchell Pearce will not lodge an official complaint against him.

Melissa Arroja is the woman wearing a lurid yellow dress in security footage recorded at King Cross's Beach Haus nightclub on early Sunday morning, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Footage obtained by Nine News shows Pearce repeatedly motioning towards her as she passes near him, then later being escorted from the nightclub by police.

Arroja referenced the fracas in a post on her Facebook page.

"Stressful day wahhh," she wrote.

"That dress is shooooo hot but attracts nothing but drama... oh and footy players f-----k."

She posted a photograph of herself wearing the eye-catching dress to her Instagram profile, where she goes the username "Melzbubblebutt".

Her social media profiles were both locked to the public after her identity was revealed.

Pearce was fined $500 for refusing to obey an order to leave licensed premises.

His lawyer released a statement saying media speculation he had "an inappropriate interaction with a female patron at a nightclub over the weekend ... is false".

After Arroja was interviewed about the incident on Monday night, police closed the matter.

Despite that, the incident has made it unclear whether Pearce will play for NSW in the upcoming Origin series.
