Near miss for sleepy station wagon driver

A truck driver has narrowly missed colliding with a station wagon who barrelled halfway out onto a main road at a T-intersection without looking.

The truck driver was able to swerve to miss the driver who braked at the last minute.

The near-miss happened on Wednesday, September 13 on Frankston Dandeong Road in Frankston, a Melbourne suburb.

And perhaps the driver of the station wagon was in desperate need of a coffee, with the near-collision occurring at 5.48am.

Caught on a dash cam, the video was shared with Dash Cam Owners Australia and posted to Facebook.

The Facebook page was quick to point out a somewhat ironic detail -at the end of the video a cop car can be spotted driving in the opposite direction to the truck.
