Naked man allegedly armed with knife taken into custody after scaling Melbourne building site
A naked man allegedly armed with a knife has been arrested after he scaled a building site in Melbourne's CBD.
Officers were called to the site on the corner of Swanston Street and Flinders Lane a little after 6.30am today.
There, police tried to arrest the man and deployed capsicum foam but he allegedly fled and climbed several storeys up the scaffolding.

The building site was evacuated as a precaution as police tried to diffuse the situation.
The critical incident response team were on site negotiating with the man.
Police said they tasered the man, a 40-year-old from New South Wales, and safely took him into custody.

"He was taken to hospital under police guard," police said.
No physical injuries have been reported.
