Car catches fire after crashing through window in east Melbourne, road closed

A car has crashed through the shop front of a law firm and caught fire after a collision with another car in Melbourne's east.

The driver is understood to have suffered minor injuries after the accident at Blackburn.

Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control in minutes.

There are traffic delays with Blackburn Road closed in both directions at the Railway Road roundabout.

Fire and Rescue Victoria said about 15 firefighters responded to the incident after a triple zero call just after 7am reported two cars had collided.

Crews arrived at the scene in six minutes to find the car and building alight.
