Three teens allegedly stabbed in machete fight in Melbourne car park

Three teenage boys were allegedly stabbed after being set upon by a group of machete-wielding people in Melbourne's West this morning.

Police said there was an altercation between a group inside a blue Holden Barina and another group inside a white Ford Sedan in the car park of a Braybrook Metro service station and convenience store about 12.45am. 

The occupants, some of whom were allegedly armed with machetes, got out of the vehicle and set upon another group of teens.

Two 17-year-old boys and one 18-year-old boy were stabbed, police were told.

One of the 17-year-old boys was transported to hospital, the other two were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Residents in the area say it's becoming an all too common occurrence.

"(I'm) not too surprised, because every day something happens," local Zac told 9News.

He said it was "frustrating and scary, because you don't know the next step they're going to do."

"They have so much freedom."

The group inside the Ford fled the scene and remain on the run. 

The investigation into the incident is on-going.
