Melbourne man makes 248 'nuisance' calls to triple zero in one week
A Melbourne man has been accused of making approximately 248 'nuisance' calls to triple zero in the space of just one week.
Police will allege the 73-year-old man continued to unnecessarily contact emergency service call takers after he was arrested at his home and charged for that very offence.
Police arrested the man at his home on Skye Road in Frankston about 5.30pm on Wednesday, October 19 as part of their investigation into more than 200 "nuisance" calls made to triple zero since October 12.

It was the second time police had been to the property that day, having visited the man earlier in the day to issue a warning.
They then charged the man with multiple counts of using a telecommunications service to harass and improper use of an emergency service.
He was charged, bailed and released from custody,
Police were then told he had made more calls to triple zero.
Officers went back to his home, and he then allegedly tried to call triple zero again, and was arrested.
He was remanded to appear before Frankston Magistrates' Court, where he appeared and was bailed to return in January.
