Housemates lay flowers for man killed in Melbourne fire while they were out
Housemates have laid flowers for their friend who died when the Melbourne home they shared went up in flames.
The blaze early this morning engulfed the house in Melbourne's north-west, caused damage to neighbouring properties and was so intense neighbours were forced to flee.
The body of a man believed to be in his 30s was found inside the burnt remains of the St Albans property.

His three housemates weren't home.
Kedan Arona said the man was a "very good neighbour, a very cheery guy, a very happy guy".
He said he believed the other residents had gone to a party.

Another neighbour, Kashiesh Dubbal, said he was "very friendly".
Crews were called to Power Street just after 2.30am today.
Despite the best efforts of firefighters, the blaze did spread, impacting homes either side with fire and smoke.
The council is organising temporary accommodation for the three other residents of the burnt home.

Some neighbours will also have to stay elsewhere else as the damage to their homes is assessed.
What caused the fatal inferno is still being investigated but police are treating it as a tragic accident.
