Melbourne man hands himself in to police over Australia Day sexual assault

Police are questioning a man following a sexual assault outside a Windsor hotel on Australia Day.
The 30-year-old from Langwarrin handed himself in to police earlier this afternoon and is assisting detectives with their investigation.
A woman was sitting outside the Pint on Punt hotel at about 12.40am when she was approached by an unknown man.
The pair walked together down Peel Street, and when they reached a group of houses about 50m from the pub, the man allegedly sexually assaulted the woman over a five-minute period.
The woman did not require medical assistance but is believed to be extremely traumatised by the event.
