Teen driver allegedly caught doing almost 200km/h while breaching Victorian lockdown

A group of teenagers has been caught allegedly travelling at almost 200km/h in Melbourne's north-west while breaching Victoria's stay-at-home directions.
Police from Brimbank Highway Patrol allegedly detected a P-plater driving a Mercedes at 196km/h on the Calder Freeway in Niddrie about 3.30pm yesterday.
The alleged speed is almost double the 100km/h limit on the freeway.

Police found three teenagers in the car, with a 19-year-old from Airport West allegedly behind the wheel.
The man is expected to be charged on summons with multiple offences.
His car was also impounded with towing costs of $884.
All three teenagers were fined for breaching the Chief Health Officer directions.
