Melbourne driver's big mistake ends with three cars written off

A car has ploughed into two other vehicles after failing to stop at an intersection in Melbourne.

The dark Holden was caught on dash-cam coasting into a Melbourne intersection and smashing into a passing car, with the clip posted to Dash Cam Owners Australia.

The smashed cars then spun into the path of a silver sedan, smashing the windscreen.

Jim, who provided the video to Dash Cam Owners Australia, said the crash happened Wednesday in South Melbourne and all of the cars involved were written off.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics had been called to reports of a three-car collision just before 8am Wednesday on Coventry St in South Melbourne.

One person was taken to The Alfred Hospital for assessment with a minor head injury.
