Woman rushed to hospital after domestic dispute with man in home
A woman is fighting for life in hospital after being assaulted in a domestic incident at a home in Melbourne’s north-east overnight.
Police and emergency services were called to the home on Collins Street in Bulleen just after midnight following reports of an altercation between the woman and a man.
The female victim, aged in her 60s, was found with life-threatening injuries after she was allegedly assaulted with “an edged weapon”, police confirmed.

The male, aged in his 60s, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries and remains there under police guard.
It is understood the man and woman knew each other.
