Police investigating home in Melbourne's southeast after woman's body located

Police are investigating a Melbourne home after a body was located at the property in the city’s southeast yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Victoria Police told 9News.com.au that homicide detectives examined the scene and investigators are now waiting for the results of a post-mortem examination.

“Police (were) at an address on Collison road in Cranbourne East after a female was located deceased just after 2pm,” the spokesperson said.

“Homicide detectives (were) at the scene but the exact cause of death is yet to be determined.

“Homicide detectives are awaiting results of a post-mortem and investigation is ongoing but we are unlikely to receive an update until significantly later today.”

Forensic officers also examined the property overnight and are expected to return today.
