Woman's body found in parkland in Melbourne suburb

The body of a woman has been found in parkland in Melbourne's north-western suburbs.
Victorian Police and officers from the crime scene unit are currently on the scene at an address on North Road in Avondale Heights.
A Victorian Police spokeswoman confirmed to 9News the woman's body was first located about 5.45pm.

The woman's cause of death is yet to be deteremined.
Members of the Victorian SES have also been dispatched to the location and tarps and lighting have already been set up.
A police investigation into the matter is ongoing.
The body was found in parkland near the Maribyrnong River and is close to a Doutta Galla aged care home car park.
