A Melbourne man is expected to be charged with multiple offences after being caught driving at 201km/h in a 100km/h zone.

The 35-year-old Craigieburn man was busted at Barfold on Saturday afternoon and failed a roadside drug test when pulled over, a Victoria Police spokeswoman said in a statement.

The man's car was impounded and he is expected to face court at a later date charged with drug driving-related offences, dangerous driving and speeding after being clocked doing 201km/h in a 100km/h zone.
