Meghan Trainor laughs off epic stack during Tonight Show performance

Singer Meghan Trainor has recovered from an awkward fall on US talk show the Tonight Show by laughing it off with host Jimmy Fallon.

Appearing as a music guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Saturday, she launched into a powerful performance of her new song, 'Me Too'.

Trainor dazzled in a sequin dress and tall heels, and shimmied alongside her back-up dancers for part of the song before returning to her position at the microphone.

With her back to the audience, Trainor raised her arms and then tried to spin around as the song finished, only to wobble and desperately grab the microphone before falling to the floor.

She remained splayed on the ground as Fallon approached the stage, and he lay down beside her to share a laugh.

"Grabbing the mic is the toughest," he later told the audience, as Trainor regained her footing and waved to the audience, who cheered in reply.
