Media executive Taylor named new SBS boss

A former senior executive with Deloitte, British Telecom and the ABC has been appointed managing director of SBS.
James Taylor has been acting managing director of the multicultural broadcaster since October 2 since Michael Ebeid left after seven and a half years in the role.
Mr Taylor, who has been appointed for a five year term, joined SBS six years ago and as the broadcaster's chief finance officer has played a key role in its corporate strategy and shift into the digital world.
