Two large, fiery explosions at a Melbourne shopping centre have terrified shoppers already on edge after the Flinders Street rampage.

The huge explosions caused a small fire at the Bayside Shopping Centre in Frankston when they went off in short succession at about 7pm yesterday.

Three fire crews attended the scene and confirmed the explosions were cause by gas cylinders.

It happened at the back of Woolworths and cause a section of the supermarket's roof to collapse in Aisle 14.

No injuries were reported, but nearby residents said the explosions cause their homes to shake and windows to rattle.

In video of the incident shared to social media, a loud alarm can be heard sounding off around the shopping centre.

A fireball is seen rising into the air.

The area around the explosion is burned black.

The incident is not related to the car attack on Flinders Street.
