Elderly driver’s car set alight in alleged road rage attack
Police are investigating after an alleged road rage arson attack on an elderly driver in Melbourne’s southeast overnight.
Emergency services were called to the corner of Albert Street and Hammond Road, Dandenong at about 7.50pm after reports a car was on fire.

Police allege a 66-year-old man was cut off then his car was set on fire when he ran to get help. 9News
Police said a 66-year-old Endeavour Hills man was driving along Albert Street when he was cut off and blocked by another vehicle.
The victim abandoned his car and ran to a nearby sports club to get help.
When he returned to his car, he found it had been set alight and the offenders had gone.
Firefighters were able to control the blaze and detectives are urging anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
