Man threatened with knife in Sydney theft

A masked robber has threatened a man with a knife during a hold up at a furniture store in Sydney's west.

The armed bandit entered the shop on The Crossroads at Casula about 5.30pm on Wednesday, then threatened the 26-year-old man and demanded his mobile phone.

The thief then approached a 49-year-old man and two women, aged 38 and 46, demanding mobile phones, keys and cash.

The robber fled with the phones, police say.

No one was injured in the incident.

The bandit is described as of Pacific Islander or Maori appearance, with a large build and was wearing a balaclava, grey hoodie and grey pants.
