Man sustains serious head wounds following alleged hammer attack
A man is being treated in hospital after allegedly being hit in the head with a hammer multiple times outside a home west of Ipswich this morning.
Police were called to the Tarampa home at 3am today after a fight broke out between two next-door neighbours.
The alleged victim arrived at Dena Gill's home where he claims he was threatened with a firearm.
Police claims Gill then allegedly proceeded to hit his neighbour in the head with a hammer multiple times.
The alleged victim then ran back to his home for help.
He was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital and treated for a fractured skull.
Mr Gill will appear in court tomorrow.
