Teen charged over alleged fish and chip shop stabbing in Melbourne

A teen has been charged after an alleged stabbing attack left a man is in a critical condition in a Melbourne hospital overnight.

A 15-year-old boy allegedly carried out the attack against an 18-year-old man in a fish and chip shop in the city's northeast before fleeing the scene.

He was arrested nearby.

The alleged victim was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

The accused was granted bail to appear in court later.
