A drinking session among mates in Brisbane's north has turned violent, with a man charged with attempted murder after one of the group was stabbed in the stomach.
Police say the men were at a house in Lutwyche on Thursday night when an argument broke out shortly before midnight.

During the scuffle a 29-year-old was stabbed in the stomach and taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious condition.
Police have charged a 25-year-old with attempted murder and he is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Two other men are helping police with their inquiries.
