Stabbed man staggers into packed Gold Coast restaurant
A man is in a stable condition after he staggered in to a packed Gold Coast restaurant bleeding from multiple stab wounds overnight.
The 31-year-old entered a popular eatery at Mermaid Beach at about 8.15pm.
He was bleeding so heavily that diners called paramedics.

The man was found to have suffered stab wounds to his neck, stomach and chest.
Police are investigating the scene not only at the restaurant, but also on a nearby street.
They said the man may have been stabbed at a different location before fleeing to the restaurant for help.

The man underwent emergency surgery overnight and is in a stable condition.
Police are yet to formally speak to him, and no arrests have been made yet.
