Man stabbed at Melbourne intersection during peak-hour traffic

Police are calling for the public's help after a man was repeatedly stabbed at an intersection in Melbourne's west during peak-hour traffic.

A 19-year-old man was at the intersection of Murnong and Main streets in Point Cook about 6pm last Monday - November 1 - when he was stabbed by another man.

He suffered stab wounds to his upper and lower body, requiring surgery.

His attacker left the scene in a White Volkswagen Golf bearing stolen front and rear number plates.

Detectives have released CCTV images of three men who they think could assist with their investigation.
