Man stabbed at Melbourne train station

A man has been stabbed during a fight at a Melbourne train station.

Police say a fight broke out between a group of people at Sunshine Railway Station on Thursday afternoon.

The man who was stabbed has been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries.

The incident happened in the same suburb where a woman was stabbed to death a week ago.

The 33-year-old mother of four was attacked in Sunshine's busy Hampshire Road shopping district on Wednesday last week. Her de facto partner has been charged with her murder.
