Man shot in Melbourne's north-west overnight

A man has been shot in Melbourne's north-west overnight.
The 20-year-old survived the gun shot wound to his lower body which happened in Brookfield just after 12.30am.
The man took himself to hospital in Bacchus Marsh and no ambulance was called.

Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances around the shooting.
Police established a crime scene at Clarkes Road.
