A man has taken himself to hospital after being shot in the leg in Sydney's southwest in what police say was a targeted attack.
The 45-year-old man was driving home on Friday at about 5.15pm when he stopped to talk to two men, in Canley Vale, police say.
An unknown man pulled up in a 4WD and after a brief argument allegedly shot the man in the leg, before driving off.
