The Francis Street home has been the site of multiple shootings in recent times, with shots fired there just two weeks ago.

Police believe today's incident was also targeted.

Neighbours and local residents declined to speak on camera today, telling 9NEWS they were fearful of revenge attacks.

Mr Abdul-Rahman's family and friends clashed with police as they attempted to secure the scene today.

A 29-year-old man was arrested after breaching the crime scene, just hours after the shooting.

Police inquiries are ongoing.
