Man shot in arm in Ipswich drive-by

A man was shot in the arm in the front yard of a home in Ipswich last night.

Emergency services were called to an address in Oxford Street, North Booval, about 10pm and found a man with a gunshot wound to the arm.

It's believed shots were fired from a passing car.

The man was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The shooting follows two drive-by shootings west of Toowoomba on Saturday night.

A single shot was fired into a window of a house on Day Street, Tara, from a car just before 10pm.

Three people in the house at the time were not injured.

The car sped off and about an hour later is believed to have been used in another drive-by shooting at a home on Naughtin Street.

No one was home at the time.

The car is described as a sedan with an engine that sounds high-powered.
