Manhunt underway after man shot dead in Sydney’s west

Police have launched a manhunt after a 37-year-old man was shot dead at a home in Sydney’s west.

The man was shot at a house in Kennedy Street in Guildford about 11pm last night, police said.

It is believed up to three men were at the house when the shooting occurred, in what is suspected to be a targeted attack. 

The man was treated by paramedics but died at the scene. 

A crime scene has been established and forensic crews are examining the area, with the street sealed off. 

It is unknown whether the shooting is linked to a spate in gangland killings across Sydney’s south-west.
