Man pulled from a burning car in WA crash

An 18-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries after being dragged from a burning car that collided with a suspected stolen car on a Perth freeway.

The accident happened on the Kwinana Freeway just before 10.30pm on Tuesday.

Three people were in a car, believed to be stolen, when it was hit near the South Perth exit by a second car, thought to be travelling with the group.

The second car caught fire and its driver had to be pulled from the flames.

Paramedics have praised those who came to the rescue of the man and pulled him from the wreckage.

He was taken to hospital, along with two passengers with suspected back injuries from the other car.

Its driver fled, police said.
